Australia warms up for Big Day Out
Britons with that outdoor festival craving who can't wait for summer to hit the shores of the UK may be interested in picking up some Australia travel insurance and heading across the globe for the world-renowned Big Day Out festival.
The festival takes in a number of Australian cities at the end of January and the start of February, including the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, in addition to a trip across the water to Auckland in New Zealand.
Artists playing at the event include The Streets, Salford-born poet John Cooper Clarke and crossover dance group Hot Chip.
"A big show also means you need to take care of each other, pace yourself, play safe and get home in one piece," the festival reminded revellers.
"Please don't forget about the getting home safely part of the day."
Earlier this year, financial services comparison company moneysupermarket.com urged festival-goers to ensure their possessions are adequately covered by a home or travel insurance policy when camping at outdoor events.
